Monbukagakusho Scholarships

Applications are now open for the Teacher Training Category of the Japanese Government Monbukagakusho Scholarships. These scholarships are generously funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

The Teacher Training Category is open to teachers who are wishing to conduct research on school education at Japanese universities. Applicants must currently be teaching at primary school, high school or college level and have more than 5 years of teaching experience as of the 1st of April, 2012. The term of the scholarship is only for the period required to complete the applicant’s course and must occur between October 2012 and March 2014. In addition, applicants must have been born after the 2nd of April, 1977 and must also be Australian citizens.

Applications close on Tuesday the 13th of March. Examinations will take place on Monday the 19th of March.
